Apple's Camera Technologies group is seeking a Camera Sensing Systems Engineer to design and develop innovative camera technology for Apple products. The role involves designing and modeling position sensing systems, defining system architectures, and performing engineering validation. You'll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware. Key Responsibilities: • Define position sensing system architectures, use-case requirements, specifications, and validation criteria • Design and model position sensing systems behaviorally • Perform sensing system engineering validation • Contribute to test and calibration codebase for sensing systems
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in EE, ECE, Engineering Physics, or similar • Experience with magnetic, optical, capacitive, or inductive analog signal chains • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering fundamentals • Proficiency in high-level programming languages (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with behavioral modeling of sensing system signal chains • Familiarity with statistical data analysis tools like JMP • Experience with magneto-static simulations using FEA tools • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience with camera technology, CMOS image sensors, and optics
This role offers a competitive base pay range of $143,100 to $264,200, along with additional benefits including stock options, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and educational reimbursement opportunities.
