This role sits at the intersection of photography, computer vision, and machine learning, focusing on delivering magical experiences like Memories and Portrait Mode to millions of users worldwide.

The position requires a passionate individual with 2+ years of experience in image quality engineering, who will be instrumental in defining and tuning still image quality and user behavior for iOS camera products. You'll work with complex products that push hardware and software boundaries, requiring deep understanding of ISP and framework components.

As a Camera Tuning Engineer, you'll be directly involved in developing cutting-edge technologies such as Deep Fusion, HDR, and Portrait mode. Your responsibilities include quality evaluations, algorithm development, and providing engineering feedback. Responsibilities For Camera Tuning Engineer

  • Responsible for image quality tuning of iOS cameras algorithms
  • Contribute to cutting edge technologies like Deep fusion, HDR, Portrait mode, and various algorithm development
  • Participate in quality evaluations for new features and algorithms through experimental studies
  • Provide direct feedback to engineering teams
  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Requirements For Camera Tuning Engineer

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an image quality testing, tuning or image processing algorithms engineer
  • Understanding and hands-on experience of ISP 3A, de-noising, fusion, tone-mapping algorithms
  • Experience with iOS / macOS app development is a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Color Science or equivalent experience
