Description For Circuits Implementation Engineer

Join Apple's Silicon Technologies group as a Circuits Implementation Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of designing and manufacturing next-generation, high-performance processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. As part of the Digital Custom Group (DCG), you'll work on groundbreaking projects like the M-series chips for Mac and chips for flagship products including iPhone, iPad, Airpods, HomePod, and Watch.

Your role will involve collaborating with world-class SRAM and custom circuit teams to define PPA (Power, Performance, Area) targets for future technology nodes. You'll be responsible for analyzing designs, conducting simulations, and tracking the development of custom and SRAM designs throughout the entire design cycle from feasibility to GDS.

This position offers the unique opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, implementing cutting-edge circuit design techniques in Apple's marquee products like M2 and A16 Bionic. You'll be instrumental in establishing design specifications, managing project dependencies, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities For Circuits Implementation Engineer

  • Design analysis to define PPA targets for current and future tech nodes
  • Work with SRAM and custom circuit team to formulate design specifications
  • Perform layout/simulations to establish PPA trends
  • Finalize list of SRAMs and custom designs for next SOCs/products
  • Work with cross functional design teams to define specifications
  • Track design development of SRAMs & other custom designs for schedule, spec closure, PPA & quality

Requirements For Circuits Implementation Engineer

  • BS in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with SoC design cycle
  • Knowledge of custom circuit design methodology
  • Understanding of industry-standard design tools
  • Deep understanding of nanometer device physics
  • Knowledge of Cache design/architecture (preferred)
  • Experience in leading/managing projects (preferred)
