Apple Service Engineering (ASE) is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their Compute team, focusing on GPU infrastructure development. This role sits at the intersection of cloud computing, virtualization, and high-performance GPU technologies, making it an exciting opportunity for engineers passionate about cutting-edge infrastructure.

The position involves building and enhancing internal cloud infrastructure offerings, with a particular focus on GPU virtualization and high-performance computing. The role requires deep expertise in virtualization technologies, particularly KVM and QEMU, along with strong Linux kernel development skills.

Responsibilities For Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - GPU

  • Design, implement, and optimize GPU Compute and high-performance networking solutions
  • Work with KVM, QEMU, and Linux kernel modifications for GPU functionality
  • Evaluate and tune performance of low-latency, high-throughput GPU Direct / RoCE interconnects
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to optimize critical workloads
  • Address complex issues across GPU, virtualization, and networking layers
  • Research and prototype new hardware and datacenter architectures

Requirements For Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - GPU

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in virtualization, specifically with KVM and QEMU
  • Strong Linux development background, including kernel-level development
  • Expertise in GPU development, driver integration, and debugging

  • Programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
