CloudKit Client Engineering Manager

Apple is seeking a CloudKit Client Engineering Manager to join their Apple Services Engineering team. This role involves leading a team focused on Sharing and Encryption technologies within the CloudKit team. The position requires close collaboration with various teams throughout Apple, including client and server teams, security and privacy teams, and internal adopters of CloudKit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a strong team of engineers
• Architecting, designing, and implementing core parts of CloudKit, including public APIs, internal frameworks, and daemons
• Working with elite teams globally to deliver features with strong privacy guarantees
• Collaborating with multi-functional teams across Apple
• Balancing multiple priorities and working with incomplete requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
• 5+ years of demonstrated ability as a software engineer working on Apple platforms
• Strong understanding of what makes a great API, with a keen interest in security and privacy
• Experience with unit testing and high-level understanding of end-to-end systems
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Passion for quality and attention to detail
• Ability to independently learn new technologies
