Description For Core Technologies Operations Program Manager

The Core Technologies New Product Introduction Operations Program Manager (NPI OPM) plays a crucial role in launching products that revolutionize entire industries. This position focuses on leading key subsystems across all platforms that make iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, and iPad exceptional. As an NPI OPM, you'll be responsible for ensuring products launch on time, with high quality, and maximum customer availability.

The role demands a leader and facilitator who is driven, organized, and detail-oriented. You'll excel in program/project management, communicate effectively at all levels, and thrive in an ambiguous environment. Working within worldwide Operations, you'll collaborate with core product development teams and other functional organizations within Apple.

Your responsibilities will include owning Core Technologies operations readiness, leading program reviews, influencing product manufacturability, and managing supplier relationships. You'll be instrumental in bringing up critical components for Apple's flagship products, ensuring successful mass production ramp-up, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities For Core Technologies Operations Program Manager

  • Own the Core Technologies operations readiness and bring up of critical components for iPhone, iPad, Watch, Mac products
  • Collaborate with design engineering, process, quality, and procurement teams and external suppliers
  • Lead program readiness reviews including program status of design/technical development and operations
  • Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness
  • Lead operations development builds on-site at suppliers
  • Responsible for successful mass production ramp up
  • Present in weekly meetings with large multi-functional teams and executives

Requirements For Core Technologies Operations Program Manager

  • BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
