You'll be working across multiple design sites, collaborating with various teams including RTL, Verification, CAD, and Physical Design to ensure robust CPU implementations.

As a principal engineer, you'll be responsible for analyzing designs, driving fixes, and improving methodologies that directly impact Apple's CPU performance and reliability. The role requires deep expertise in hardware design, particularly in multi-clock domain systems and verification techniques. Responsibilities For CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer

  • Developing, improving, and maintaining the CDC and RDC sign-offs for CPU designs
  • Working with RTL and DV teams on System Verilog assertions for CDC/RDC/STA constraints
  • Highlighting CDC/RDC issues and recommending solutions to RTL team
  • Developing and maintaining key STA checks and associated sign-offs for CPUs
  • Debugging vendor tool problems and collaborating with designers
  • Working with EDA vendor representatives to drive improvements
  • Collaborating with RTL, Verification, CAD, and Physical Design teams

Requirements For CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with Clock-Domain Crossing (CDC) and Reset Domain Crossing (RDC)
  • Scripting experience in Tcl or Perl
  • Experience in Verilog
  • Experience in SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and Design Verification (DV) Simulations preferred
  • Experience in multi-clock-domain RTL design preferred
  • Knowledge in Spyglass, VC-Static, PrimeTime, or Meridian is a plus
