Description For CPU Post-Silicon Engineering Program Manager

Apple's CPU team is seeking a dedicated Engineering Program Manager to join their groundbreaking work on CPUs that power M1/M2 Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This role combines technical excellence with organizational leadership, focusing on post-silicon planning, bring-up, and debug activities. You'll be embedded in the CPU team, working closely with Design, Verification, Silicon Validation, Software, Power, Performance Validation, and System teams to resolve critical silicon issues throughout the product development lifecycle. The position requires strong technical knowledge in CPU development, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead multi-functional teams under tight schedules. You'll be responsible for developing validation plans, driving debug efforts, coordinating cross-functional activities, and communicating program status to executive stakeholders. Responsibilities For CPU Post-Silicon Engineering Program Manager

  • Developing post-silicon validation plans
  • Driving debug of silicon issues with CPU and multi-functional teams
  • Coordinating and prioritizing debug tasks and experiments
  • Supervising issues and bugs across multiple projects
  • Focused issue reporting and communication of program risks & status
  • Materials management (parts, boards, etc.)

Requirements For CPU Post-Silicon Engineering Program Manager

  • BS + 10 years of relevant experience
  • Proven Silicon development experience in Design, Verification, Implementation, Physical Design, DFT or Validation
  • CPU development experience
  • Experience in debug of CPU logic and circuit failures
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills
  • Strong time and task leadership skills
  • Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture and validation tools
