Description For Custom Circuits Design Verification Engineer

Apple is seeking a Custom Circuits Design Verification Engineer to join their Hardware team in Austin. This role is crucial for ensuring bug-free first silicon for all Digital custom IPs delivered to Apple's various SoCs. The position requires extensive experience in design verification, working at the intersection of custom circuit design and RTL development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the functionality and performance of Apple's premier SoCs that make their way into Apple products. This involves reviewing design and architecture specifications, understanding use cases and corner conditions, and translating specifications into comprehensive test benches.

Working closely with both custom circuit designers and RTL designers, you'll need to understand functionality and performance goals deeply. Key responsibilities include running and triaging regressions, tracking bugs, and analyzing coverage to achieve high-quality results. This highly visible role puts you at the center of SoC design efforts, collaborating with multiple teams and having a critical impact on delivering bug-free functional products to market quickly.

The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant industry experience with a BS degree, strong knowledge of Verilog/System Verilog, and experience with digital simulation and debug tools. Knowledge of behavioral and structural RTL coding, especially for SRAM, register file, and custom circuit designs, is essential. Additional expertise in FPGA and emulation challenges, industry standard design tools, and DFT knowledge would be valuable assets.

At Apple, you'll be part of a team that works every single day to craft products that enrich people's lives, where new ideas rapidly evolve into great products, services, and customer experiences. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of technology development, working on cutting-edge SoC designs that power Apple's innovative product lineup.
