Responsibilities For Data Scientist, WW Demand Planning - AppleCare

  • Owner of monthly statistical forecast models and forecast creation for selected LOBs
  • Research, development and implementation of technical solutions for forecasting and demand planning
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to increase efficiency through mathematical modeling
  • Improve forecast accuracy using state-of-the-art statistical methods
  • Serve as database administrator of internal data servers
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Tableau
  • Partner with AI/ML experts to explore applications in supply chain management
  • Contribute to building internal knowledge base on statistics and research methodology

Requirements For Data Scientist, WW Demand Planning - AppleCare

Python
  • Masters or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Applied Statistics and Economics or Machine Learning
  • Strong background in statistics and data mining
  • Understanding of forecasting techniques including Time Series Analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of database structures and data warehousing principles
  • Programming skills in SQL, Python, SAS and/or R
  • Experience with Teradata
  • Strong writing, visualization and communication skills
