Deep Learning Optimization and Infrastructure Manager, System Intelligence and Machine Learning

Apple's System Intelligence and Machine Learning (SIML) group is seeking a dynamic leader to manage and grow a team of ML software engineers focused on developing cutting-edge tools and frameworks for machine learning applications. This role sits within the Intelligent Systems Experience organization, where you'll lead efforts in developing frameworks, tools, and services—primarily in Python—that support the full lifecycle of machine learning models across Apple's ecosystem. The team has been instrumental in developing adaptation technologies for language and image generative models, including innovations like Genmoji and Image Playground. Working at the intersection of Apple's unique vertical integration and Apple Silicon, you'll drive groundbreaking experiences that impact users across macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and Private Cloud Compute. The position requires deep expertise in machine learning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable solutions that operate on large datasets with high task parallelism, while working closely with various teams including R&D, privacy and legal, and tools & infrastructure.
