Design Manager - Health

Apple's Health team is seeking an experienced design leader to work alongside clinical experts and technologists to help people understand their health. The Design Manager will focus on creating content that supports and enhances Apple's health-related features and services. This role involves executing and ensuring consistency in look and feel, overseeing design work, and commissioning illustration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of designers to coordinate assignments and ensure consistency and excellence
• Collaborating with the content team, engineers, clinicians, and data scientists
• Creating graphics, multi-media layouts, and article designs
• Iterating and critiquing work to ensure the best solutions
• Commissioning and art directing photography and illustration
• Working within schedules to deliver high-quality work on time
• Extending existing design patterns across new ideas and platforms
• Collaborating with a highly iterative design team

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong command of visual and communication design principles
• 8+ years of experience in crafting user interface designs for iOS, desktop, or web platforms
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Design Suite, Keynote, After Effects, and Illustrator
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with various teams
• An established network of designers, illustrators, and photographers
• The ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• A passion for Apple, its products, and its customers
