Description For Design Verification Engineer

Apple is seeking a Design Verification Engineer to join their Hardware Technology team, focusing on verifying the functionality and performance of Apple's premier SOCs. This role puts you at the heart of chip design efforts, working with various subsystems including Neural Engine hardware, DRAM subsystems, encode/decode systems, hardware security, and more.

As a Design Verification Engineer, you'll collaborate across multiple teams in a vertical product model, owning the quality assurance of SOCs or specific IP subsystems. You'll review design and architecture specifications while working closely with design & micro-architecture teams. Understanding functional & performance goals is crucial as you develop test plans, coverage plans, and define next-generation verification methodologies.

The position offers flexibility to either specialize deeply in one main IP or expand your expertise across multiple subsystems. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including ProRes codec formats, cryptographic implementations, high-speed IO standards, and display subsystems for various products.

Requirements For Design Verification Engineer

Python
  • BS + 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of SystemVerilog, digital simulation and debug
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and digital design fundamentals
  • Software programming skills with knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with Python, Perl, or similar scripting language
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies like UVM
