Responsibilities For Display Mechanical Engineer

  • Investigate state-of-the-art mechanical designs and technologies
  • Define module mechanical architecture based on various requirements
  • Work with system team to define product interface including fit, assembly features, and tolerance analyses
  • Achieve system goals through mechanical design optimization, prototyping, and material qualification
  • Define & implement validation plans for ME characteristics
  • Drive failure analyses and ensure specifications are met throughout supply chain
  • Act as focal point among cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Support product throughout architecture, engineering development, mass-production ramp-up, and launch

Requirements For Display Mechanical Engineer

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of three years of experience
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including properties of materials, solid mechanics, beam statics, Newtonian physics, and thermodynamics
  • Ability to perform mechanical design & validation, including development of component/material evaluation tests, and failure analysis
  • 3D/2D software experience: 3D modeling (Pro/E, NX, CATIA, or Solidworks), engineering drawings, GD&T
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques like injection-molding, sheet-metal stamping, 3D printing
  • Understanding of DFA/DFM and statistical tolerance analysis
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and scientific method
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~15%)
