Description For Display Module Assembly and Packaging Engineer

Apple is seeking an experienced Display Module Assembly and Packaging Engineer to join their display module team. This role focuses on display hardware development and validation for next-generation Apple products. The position offers a competitive base salary range of $207,800 to $312,200, along with comprehensive benefits including stock options and bonuses.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning mechanical and module specifications from concept to production, defining display optical package characteristics, and developing assembly processes. They will lead multi-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to drive display module design convergence and ensure successful product launches.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of semiconductor packaging/assembly experience, with preferred qualifications including an advanced degree in relevant fields. The position demands strong technical expertise in optical packaging, electrical/material/thermal/mechanical engineering, and various package configurations.

Responsibilities For Display Module Assembly and Packaging Engineer

  • Own overall mechanical and module master specifications from initial concept to mass production
  • Define new display optical package special characteristics
  • Define and develop a MP assembly process
  • Lead multi-functional teams and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Identify and assess critical metrics affecting display performance
  • Communicate effectively across the organization and manage risk
  • Travel to support build at component, module, and system factories

Requirements For Display Module Assembly and Packaging Engineer

  • BS with 10+ years of semiconductor packaging/assembly experience
  • M.S or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or similar fields
  • Prior optical packaging experience with camera/CMOS image sensor module
  • Solid fundamentals in electrical/material/thermal/mechanical engineering field
  • Familiarity with various sophisticated package configurations and assembly / substrate technology
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
