Engineering Program Manager, Apple Cloud Infrastructure, Apple Services Engineering

Apple Cloud Infrastructure team, part of Apple Services Engineering, is seeking an extraordinary engineering program manager (EPM) to help their compute team deliver innovative product solutions for large-scale infrastructure at Apple. The role involves building and supporting critical infrastructural systems and frameworks, providing elastic compute and container solutions like Kubernetes for Apple Cloud Infrastructure. This platform supports many iCloud applications and other backend systems at Apple, operating at a substantial scale.

The EPM will partner with diverse teams across Apple to provide groundbreaking infrastructure for Storage, utilizing open-source technologies and proprietary systems. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals, a large user base, and the autonomy to shape the future of Compute and Storage infrastructure for all of Apple.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing software development projects in Infrastructure domains, particularly compute
• Partnering with engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions
• Prioritizing features and technical roadmaps
• Managing multiple simultaneous end-to-end infrastructure projects
• Collaborating with various engineering teams and stakeholders
• Building roadmaps through to operational sustainability
• Facilitating requirements sessions, design meetings, and status meetings

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in software development project management in Infrastructure domains
• Prior engineering and infrastructure experience
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and technical skills
• Experience with Cloud and Infrastructure projects, preferably with AWS/Kubernetes platforms
• Knowledge of containers and storage
• Agile project experience and SCRUM background
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
