Description For Engineering Program Manager, Infrastructure Services

Apple is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to join their Infrastructure Services team, focusing on improving resiliency and disaster recovery across all Apple's Internal and External services worldwide. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in managing complex technical projects and bringing order to high-intensity environments.

The position sits within Apple's Project Management group, which serves as the central hub connecting diverse products and ideas. You'll be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of projects from conception to production, with a specific focus on disaster recovery and infrastructure resilience across Apple's owned data centers, cloud environments, and colocation facilities.

Your primary mission will be to ensure the security, reliability, and high performance of Apple's infrastructure in every operational region. You'll work closely with Infrastructure and application teams, creating and testing disaster recovery plans, driving multi-functional efforts, and managing comprehensive project plans.

Key aspects of the role include creating technical roadmaps, monitoring progress, maintaining detailed documentation, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders. You'll need strong project, time, and people management skills, along with the ability to facilitate technical collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities For Engineering Program Manager, Infrastructure Services

  • Drive multi-functional efforts and meetings with product and service teams
  • Create and manage project plans with technical tasks and dependencies
  • Create technical roadmaps for Infrastructure Services teams
  • Monitor progress and track program achievements
  • Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation
  • Generate detailed weekly progress reports
  • Work with Infrastructure and application teams to create, review and test disaster recovery plans

Requirements For Engineering Program Manager, Infrastructure Services

  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field
  • 2+ year of experience in Project or Program Management in infrastructure services or related technical domain
  • PMP Certification (preferred)
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery (preferred)
