Description For Engineering Project Manager, Build & Release

Apple's Apps team is seeking a Build and Release Engineering Project Manager to lead application builds and releases across Apple platforms. As the Build and Release EPM, you'll work at the intersection of Engineering, QA, Build, Integration, and App Store teams, defining and driving critical build and release processes.

Responsibilities For Engineering Project Manager, Build & Release

  • Define and enforce scalable policies for successful builds and releases
  • Manage build configuration requirements throughout software development lifecycle
  • Manage risk in release endgame leading up to customer launch
  • Work with Engineering teams to track software changes
  • Work with QA to ensure proper testing and sign-off
  • Resolve build and release issues while communicating timeline
  • Provide regular reports on submissions and releases
  • Communicate program status to leadership and multi-functional teams

Requirements For Engineering Project Manager, Build & Release

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managing build and release process
  • Understanding of branching, configuration management, testing, build and release processes
  • Technical understanding of development tools, source control, and CI build systems
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple partners
  • Ability to independently manage complex project objectives
  • Proven track record of defining and completing processes
