The Apps team at Apple is seeking an exceptional Build and Release Engineering Project Manager to drive application builds and releases across Apple platforms. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and enforcing scalable policies and procedures for successful builds and releases
- Managing build configuration requirements throughout the software development lifecycle
- Overseeing risk management during the release process leading up to customer launch
- Collaborating with Engineering teams to track software changes from PR to successful build
- Working with QA to ensure proper testing and sign-off on software changes
- Resolving build and release issues while communicating with app teams
- Providing regular reports on submissions and releases
- Effectively communicating program status to leadership and multi-functional teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing build and release processes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of branching, configuration management, testing, and build/release processes
- Technical knowledge of development tools, source control, and CI systems (e.g., Xcode, GitHub, Jenkins)
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to manage complex project objectives independently
- Proven track record in defining and completing processes
- Experience working effectively in a multi-functional organization
