Description For Engineering Project Manager - Infrastructure and Production Engineering

Engineering Project Managers (EPMs) are crucial to Apple's success in delivering impactful customer experiences across its vast ecosystem. The Tools & Frameworks team aims to deliver the next generation of products, services, and tools that will empower developers inside and outside Apple. This role involves collaborating with software engineering leaders focused on developer productivity, driving large cross-functional projects, and overseeing service qualification, deployment, and operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and status documentation
  • Collaborating with large cross-functional stakeholder groups
  • Communicating requirements, changes, milestones, and other pertinent information
  • Presenting new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership
  • Driving focus on critical path deliverables and tracking execution of dependencies
  • Coordinating complex changes through build and integration systems
  • Proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organization skills, a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, and solid experience running cloud services end to end. Familiarity with computer architecture, operating systems, build engineering, and CI/CD is a plus.
