Apple's Tools & Frameworks team is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to drive the next generation of products, services, and tools for developers. This role is crucial in bridging organizational boundaries and enabling cross-functional collaboration across Apple's vast ecosystem. The position involves working closely with software engineering leaders to align goals, priorities, and execution across multiple teams while managing large cross-functional projects.

The role requires expertise in software development lifecycle, cloud service management, and build engineering. You'll be responsible for project planning, tracking, execution, and reporting, while overseeing service qualification, deployment, and operations. The position offers a competitive base salary range of $165,500 to $248,700, plus additional benefits including stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and education reimbursement.

Responsibilities For Engineering Project Manager - Infrastructure and Production Engineering

  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedule, and status documentation for initiatives
  • Collaborating with large cross-functional stakeholder groups
  • Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding requirements, changes, milestones
  • Presenting new feature initiatives, issues, risks, and achievements to executive leadership
  • Driving focus to critical path deliverables and tracking execution of dependencies
  • Coordinating complex changes through build and integration systems
  • Proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies

Requirements For Engineering Project Manager - Infrastructure and Production Engineering

Linux
  • At least 5 years of experience in program or project management in software development
  • Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills including ability to build trusting relationships
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in software development, engineering, computer science (preferred)
  • Experience with Build and Release Engineering / Release Management (preferred)
  • Knowledge of operating system internals architecture (preferred)
