We seek an Engineering Technician responsible for test equipment setup, tear down, maintenance, data collection, and logistics. The Engineering Technician ensures the engineering service request operates reliably and satisfies the customer's end-use requirements. Experience working with customers and managing the interaction is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Test board and equipment setup, tear down, maintenance, data collection, and logistics
- Maintaining lab standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Deploying test boards for automated tests and troubleshooting setup issues
- Managing test board setups and procedures
- Collecting and tracking critical lab metrics
- Performing test equipment inventory, calibration, and maintenance
- Understanding and configuring electro-mechanical component installations
- Performing electro-mechanical repair and troubleshooting
- Communicating effectively and recommending document changes
- Self-inspection according to procedures
- Problem identification and documentation
- Equipment calibration status checks and following ESD procedures
- Attention to detail in following instructions, schematics, and diagrams
- Proficiency in English communication
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a Tech-related Major or 4+ years of equivalent experience
- Ability to read schematics and set up various cable connectivity types
- Basic understanding of Unix/Windows and Networking
- Soldering and rework skills for various components
- Knowledge of general test instrumentation hardware and software
- Experience with environmental chamber operation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs of equipment occasionally
