Description For Hardware System Design Engineer (Accessories)

Apple's Accessories Hardware Engineering team is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for system design and architecture. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on future Apple products and embedded low power systems, collaborating closely with iPhone, Mac, and VisionPro teams. The position involves leading system development phases from silicon architecture to manufacturing, focusing on innovative accessories like MagSafe products, AirTags, and various USB-C & Lightning products.

Responsibilities For Hardware System Design Engineer (Accessories)

  • Leading new product architecture and silicon definition
  • Working cross functionally on early product scoping and functional specification
  • Reviewing and influencing system performance decisions
  • Reviewing and influencing product concepts & roadmaps across groups
  • Defining, simulating, and modeling product performance vs. power and other metrics
  • Regularly reporting project status to the leadership

Requirements For Hardware System Design Engineer (Accessories)

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
  • Outstanding EE fundamentals
  • Deep knowledge of analog and digital electrical circuits including silicon
  • Experience with product concept development and system architecture
  • Experience with digital hardware design such as micro-controllers and digital interfaces
