Image Sensor Architect – Camera Hardware

Apple is seeking an experienced Image Sensor Architect to join their Camera Silicon Architecture team in Irvine, California. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work in developing next-generation camera silicon image sensor architectures.

The position involves working at the intersection of hardware and imaging technology, requiring deep expertise in mixed signal design and analog circuits. You'll be responsible for designing innovative sensor solutions that power Apple's renowned camera systems across their product line.

As an Image Sensor Architect, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including pixel, sensor, module, firmware, software and ISP teams. Your work will directly impact the quality and capabilities of future Apple product cameras, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in mobile photography.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of industry experience, with deep knowledge of image sensor architecture and manufacturing technology. You'll need strong technical skills in analog/digital design, system architecture, and ASIC development, combined with excellent communication abilities to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
