Description For Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer - World Wide AppleCare Logistics

Apple's WW AppleCare Logistics team is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic organization responsible for Apple's reverse logistics service operation. This role is crucial in developing and implementing methods and processes for high-volume reverse logistics, mail-in repair, and screening operations.

The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and processes in a company known for revolutionary products and services. You'll be part of a team that supports Distribution Centers and 3PL partners across multiple countries, delivering industry-leading service to customers.

As an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer, you'll collaborate with various AppleCare teams to coordinate processes for new and existing products. Your responsibilities will include estimating logistics process costs, determining time standards, making recommendations for tooling and equipment, and monitoring quality performance of OEM and 3PL partners.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering within high-volume electronics manufacturing/repair operations. You should have a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, with a master's degree being preferred. Experience with 3D factory modeling, production line layouts, and lean manufacturing principles is highly valued.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $125,400 to $188,500, comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, retirement benefits, and stock programs.   • Authority on warehouse reverse logistics and screening processes for global and regional project implementation
  • Responsible for New Product/Process Implementations
  • Ensure all products and processes comply with Apple specifications
  • Develop and analyze process costs
  • Perform capacity planning and analysis for new and existing processes
  • Implement process improvements
  • Manage small projects and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Partner with external vendors for equipment, tooling and packaging sourcing
  • Provide support to internal customers
  • Main point of contact for regional partners for engineering/process issues

Requirements For Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer - World Wide AppleCare Logistics

  • 7+ years experience working as a Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer in high volume electronics manufacturing/repair operation
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally (~10% of time)
