Responsibilities For Input Device Product Design Engineer

  • Collaborate with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity, and technology teams
  • Explore multiple product form factors and develop new product architectures
  • Define kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization
  • Integrate mechanisms, sensors, and other electromechanical components
  • Partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors
  • Ensure design meets requirements through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis
  • Travel ~10-15% of the year to Cupertino and Asia to support engineering build activities

Requirements For Input Device Product Design Engineer

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years experience in a mechanical engineering design role
  • Solid engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, kinematics and mechanism design, and manufacturing
  • Great communication skills: written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorms
