Responsibilities For Input Device Product Design Engineer
- Collaborate with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity, and technology teams
- Explore multiple product form factors and develop new product architectures
- Define kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization
- Integrate mechanisms, sensors, and other electromechanical components
- Partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors
- Ensure design meets requirements through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis
- Travel ~10-15% of the year to Cupertino and Asia to support engineering build activities
Requirements For Input Device Product Design Engineer
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years experience in a mechanical engineering design role
- Solid engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, kinematics and mechanism design, and manufacturing
- Great communication skills: written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorms
