Description For Lead Software Engineer - Apple Data Governance

As a Lead Engineer in Apple Data Governance, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that ensure the integrity, privacy, and security of Apple's vast and diverse data assets. You will contribute to building robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Contribution: Provide subject matter expertise in the development and execution of Apple's data governance strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that governance initiatives align with business needs and regulatory obligations.
  2. Policy Advisory: Work closely with User Privacy, Legal, and Compliance teams to develop and refine data governance policies and standards.
  3. Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Stay informed on evolving regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and assist in designing solutions that ensure compliance and minimize data governance risks.
  4. Data Quality and Metadata Leadership: Champion data quality and metadata management initiatives, creating frameworks to enhance data accuracy, reliability, and governance processes.
  5. Cross-Functional Engagement: Act as a primary liaison between business units, legal, security, and privacy teams, embedding data governance principles into everyday operational practices.
  6. Technical Influence: Serve as a technical expert and thought leader within the data governance space, mentoring engineers and influencing the architecture and direction of data governance solutions at Apple.
