Description For Mac System EPM (Engineering Program Manager)

Apple is seeking a Mac System Engineering Program Manager to join their Hardware team in Cupertino. This role is crucial in leading the development of new Apple products from concept to launch. The position involves working with multiple teams across Apple to align product objectives and drive new product development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating products customers love and experienced in managing complex hardware development processes.

As an EPM, you'll be responsible for enabling teams to deliver high-quality, sophisticated systems through collaboration with various stakeholders. The role requires a deep understanding of hardware and software system development, with the ability to create and implement program plans and schedules effectively. You'll lead program baselines, manage investigations, track system schedules, and identify critical paths and technical risks.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $165,500 to $293,800, plus additional benefits including stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and educational reimbursement. Responsibilities For Mac System EPM (Engineering Program Manager)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system hardware, features and schedule baseline
  • Manage program baseline and active investigations, system schedule, critical paths and technical risks
  • Identify and highlight engineering risk areas and partner with engineering experts for mitigation
  • Communicate project status, issues and escalations to project team and senior leadership

Requirements For Mac System EPM (Engineering Program Manager)

  • BS degree in Engineering required
  • 1-4+ years of project management experience
  • BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering
  • Led at least 2 product development cycles for hardware/software systems
  • Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
