Apple's Input Experience NLP team is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer to work on pioneering text generation technologies. This role is part of the Software and Services division, focusing on redefining user interaction through generative models. The team's work has been highlighted in multiple WWDC keynotes, including Intelligent Input (2023) and Writing Tools and Smart Reply (2024).

As a key member of Apple Intelligence, you'll impact billions of users by developing advanced text generation technologies. The role involves working with state-of-the-art NLP and ML solutions, from building offline models to optimizing them for different hardware backends. The team is committed to maintaining Apple's privacy standards by implementing on-device ML solutions.

You'll collaborate with exceptional ML and software engineers on various text generation technologies, including context-augmented text rewriting, safety-controlled text composition, and personalized smart interactions. The team owns the NLP and ML text input stack for keyboard input across all Apple platforms, including autocorrection and predictive typing.
