At Apple, you'll lead Operations Engineering efforts in developing extraordinary Thermal modules for high-quality products. This hands-on role involves assembly and testing process development, manufacturing program management, and on-site problem solving for innovative thermal modules.
Key responsibilities include:

Process Development:
- Plan and lead experiments for timely analyses driving design and supply chain decisions
- Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams to develop manufacturing and test processes
- Use industry-standard tools like DOEs and FMEA to identify risks and optimize processes
- Develop robust failure analysis processes and drive continuous improvement

New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Lead multi-functional activities for operational readiness in all NPI phases
- Drive process development and capability assessment
- Lead project technical and operational issues during NPI
- Work with suppliers to support process development and data gathering
- Establish validation procedures for tooling acceptance

Supplier Execution:
- Review supplier equipment, fixture design, and process flow
- Identify shortfalls and corrective actions for design compliance
- Assess supplier readiness and mitigate potential execution issues
- Evaluate prospective suppliers' production capability and quality management
- Lead suppliers in establishing and validating process capability
- Establish quality programs and manufacturing process control plans
You'll apply your mechanical manufacturing background to these areas, working with cutting-edge thermal technologies like graphite, fans, heat pipes, vapor chambers, cold plates, and heat fins for portable and desktop devices.
This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to work independently, and experience with international OEMs/CMs. You'll be part of a diverse team that encourages innovation and creates revolutionary products and services.
