Description For Mixed-Signal Behavioral Modeling Engineer

As a Mixed-Signal Behavioral Modeling Engineer, you will join our dynamic group working on state-of-the-art mixed-signal systems used in Apple's world-leading SoCs. This role involves writing functional models of custom mixed-signal circuits in SystemVerilog, collaborating with circuit design teams, and working with DV teams for effective verification. You'll analyze data using Python/MATLAB, run simulations, and work on enhancing modeling methodology. Responsibilities For Mixed-Signal Behavioral Modeling Engineer

  • Write functional models of custom mixed-signal circuits in SystemVerilog
  • Collaborate with circuit design teams to understand details of custom circuits
  • Work with DV teams to craft hooks into the models for effective verification
  • Analyze data using Python/MATLAB for fitting into the model
  • Run simulations and formal equivalence tools
  • Enhance modeling methodology and improve functional coverage
  • Optimize modeling flows and enable new tools to identify custom circuit issues

Requirements For Mixed-Signal Behavioral Modeling Engineer

Python
  • BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of digital logic gates, clocking and state elements
  • Excellent knowledge of writing behavioral code in SystemVerilog
  • Solid understanding of logic and behavioral simulations
  • Ability to read custom circuit schematics and understand functionality
  • Good familiarity with circuit elements and mixed-signal blocks
  • Good understanding of SPICE circuit simulations
  • Ability to write scripts in PERL/Python
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing and numerical analysis
  • Familiarity with probability and statistics
