ML Product Automation Architect

Apple is seeking a talented and motivated senior software developer to join their Machine Learning Systems Evaluation Engineering (MLSEE) team. This role involves designing and building simulation environments to evaluate AI assistant products at scale. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on large-scale data and compute-intensive systems. They will work closely with organizational leadership to translate customer needs into engineering opportunities, architect scalable systems, and drive adoption through cross-functional partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing simulation environments for AI assistant product evaluation
• Architecting native client-based APIs and frameworks for production environments
• Leading a team and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Optimizing large-scale data and compute-intensive systems

Required skills:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Expertise in Swift and/or Obj-C
• Experience as a team lead
• Strong software engineering skills, including system design, development, testing, and maintenance
• Deep understanding of automated software testing methodologies
• Knowledge of statistics-based evaluation approaches and ML training pipelines
