Description For Module Process Engineer

Apple is seeking a Module Process Engineer to join the Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team. This role is crucial in developing innovative manufacturing process technologies to address complex design challenges in Apple Displays & Touch technology. The successful candidate will be a focal point in process development for advanced key process modules, from concept to product engineering validation builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new manufacturing process technologies for Apple Displays & Touch
  • Lead process development from concept/architecture stage through engineering validation
  • Solve complex design challenges impacting product quality and delivery
  • Work in a fast-paced environment requiring high self-motivation
  • Apply flexible thinking and problem-solving skills across technical areas

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree minimum in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in project development from early stages to high volume production
  • Knowledge of module processes & integration in back-end processes of Flat Panel Display & Touch industry
  • Proficiency in DOE, data analysis, and SPC control
  • Experience in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving for product yield and quality issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project implementation and vendor collaboration
