Apple's Data Center Engineering team is seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to join their innovative team in Mesa, Arizona. This role combines the challenges of data center operations with cutting-edge technology implementation, focusing on designing and maintaining critical infrastructure systems.
As an OT Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing solutions for high-availability data center facilities, working at the intersection of operational technology and traditional IT systems. You'll collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the highest reliability of systems serving both internal and external customers.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in OT networks, security, and protocols, with the ability to work with various technologies including MQTT, OPC UA, BacNet, and Modbus. Responsibilities For Operational Technology Engineer, Data Center
- Design of data center facility networks and OT, including system architectures and facilities network diagrams
- Development of OT device specifications, device selection, testing, approval and integration
- Coordinate with information security teams to implement Cyber Security measures for OT
- Design and maintain device universal data templates
- Provide configuration, programming and commissioning of the systems
- Troubleshooting of network and systems issues
- Enforce Apple's Data management and Governance policies
- Coordinate with internal IT teams for data exchange between OT and IT
- Provide training to Operations personnel
- Follow Industry and Apple's Safety requirements
Requirements For Operational Technology Engineer, Data Center
- 5+ years of experience with Data Center facility networks and Operational Technology (OT)
- Cyber Security for OT experience
- Experience with OT devices and management
- Deep understanding of OT Networks and communications protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, or related field
