Description For Operations Manager, Cloud Networking

Apple is seeking an Operations Manager for their Cloud Networking team to support and scale cloud services. This role is part of the Apple Networking team, which builds software-defined cloud network infrastructure for Apple Cloud. The infrastructure is critical for delivering services like iCloud, iTunes, Siri, and Maps to billions of customers.

As a Cloud Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving incident management to reduce resolution time
  • Acting as the point of escalation for incidents and customer-impacting issues
  • Implementing systematic processes based on Runbooks and tools
  • Driving post-mortems and preventive actions
  • Managing safe production infrastructure maintenance
  • Innovating on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Ensuring detailed documentation and reporting of key operational metrics

The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated with a passion for perfection, quality, and detail. You will lead a talented cloud network operation team in delivering efficient and scalable operations that meet customer success criteria.

Key qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Experience with cloud technologies, network fundamentals, microservices architecture, and system programming
  • Strong track record of leading large multi-functional projects

A BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience is preferred.

Apple offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay between $252,400 and $378,700, stock options, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
