Responsibilities For Operations Test Engineer
- Design for Testability - Provide manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are tested effectively
- Product Life Cycle Engineering - Work all phases from concept to production
- Lead optimization of test solutions to enhance quality and operational efficiency
- Utilize statistical tools (GR&R, SPC, Cp/pCk) to ensure processes/fixtures are scalable
- Conduct failure/data analysis and implement testing procedures
- Improve product quality and cost by closing test gaps
- Provide direction and mentorship to third party vendors/automation suppliers
- Drive failure analysis and machine issue resolution
- Prepare and present Test Engineering program status updates to the Exec team
Requirements For Operations Test Engineer
- BS or MS degree in mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering discipline
- 7+ years of work experience in assembly, inspection, test station design, test development, maintenance and/or automation equipment
- Knowledge of optical technologies and/or semiconductor testing preferred
- Knowledge of tester qualification requirements including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability and reproducibility
- Ability to communicate effectively in a worldwide environment
