  • Lead end-to-end design, development, and validation of spectral sensing technology
  • Identify design tradeoffs and risks
  • Apply experiment design and scientific method to reduce design risk
  • Run tolerance studies for manufacturing feasibility
  • Drive processes to meet Apple's high cosmetic standards
  • Support external manufacturing vendors with process development and root cause analysis
  • International travel between 15% and 25%

Requirements For Optical Sensing PD - Mechanical Engineer

  • Hands-on experience designing for a production environment
  • Familiarity with product manufacturing technologies related to sensors
  • 3D CAD experience (NX preferred)
  • Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analyses
  • Application of statistical tools and techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to craft clear engineering documentation
  • Able to effectively collaborate with diverse team members and external vendors
  • Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree
