OS Build Engineering Project Manager

Apple is seeking an OS Build Engineering Project Manager to join their Software and Services team. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams and deliverables for shipping OS software, including macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS. The ideal candidate will have strong OS fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for software automation and release engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating daily build deliverables and triaging issues
• Managing beta software releases for various Apple devices
• Converging on developer seeds and customer shipping software
• Identifying, escalating, and communicating key issues
• Developing strategies to improve the build release process
• Driving resolutions on build issues with engineering teams
• Managing risk during the release endgame
• Releasing software to seed users and customers

The role requires project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other organizations. It's an excellent opportunity for a project manager interested in technology or a release engineer who is highly organized and wants to drive iOS software delivery.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of defining and executing processes
• Ability to work one weekend day per week
• Build and Release Engineering/Release Management experience (preferred)
• Project management experience in software development lifecycle (preferred)
• Unix programming/scripting experience (preferred)
• Self-motivated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
