This position combines legal expertise with technical knowledge in semiconductor engineering, offering a unique opportunity at one of the world's most innovative technology companies.

The role involves working at the intersection of law and cutting-edge technology, where you'll be responsible for building and managing Apple's worldwide patent portfolio related to silicon engineering. You'll work directly with engineering teams to identify and protect valuable intellectual property, while also providing strategic guidance on patent transactions, licensing, and litigation matters.

As a Patent Portfolio Manager, you'll need to bring at least 10 years of experience in patent prosecution and portfolio management, along with deep technical knowledge in semiconductor engineering, processor architectures, and circuit design. The position requires both USPTO registration and formal education including a BS or higher in EE/CS/CE and a JD.

The role offers an attractive compensation package ranging from $221,600 to $333,200, complemented by comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, retirement benefits, and various stock participation programs. You'll also have opportunities for professional growth through educational reimbursement and exposure to cutting-edge technology development.

This is an ideal position for a seasoned patent professional who wants to work on innovative technologies at a company that consistently pushes the boundaries of what's possible. You'll be part of a team that upholds Apple's high ethical standards while protecting the intellectual property that drives the company's success in creating new product categories and industries.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on patent work, requiring someone who can both develop high-level portfolio strategies and manage their detailed implementation. You'll need to be comfortable working cross-functionally, as you'll interact with engineering teams, outside counsel, and various business units within Apple.

Working at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, you'll be at the heart of technology innovation, helping to protect and manage the intellectual property that powers Apple's silicon engineering advances.
