Description For Process Engineer- Camera

As a Process Engineer in the Camera Technologies group at Apple, you'll be part of an innovative team designing and developing groundbreaking camera systems for Apple products. Your role will involve working on everything from sensors to lenses, collaborating across teams to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware. You'll be responsible for developing assembly processes, equipment, and materials for innovative optical modules in a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting complex camera modules, including strobe and semiconductor packaging
  • Establishing initial architecture, FMEA, DFM, and process/design guidelines
  • Conducting and interpreting complex DOEs to drive resolution and determine capabilities
  • Leading FACA activities related to process issues affecting quality, reliability, and performance
  • Developing and driving Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) with in-region teams
  • Providing leadership in module construction, materials, equipment, processes, reliability, and testing
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams during development and initial production stages
  • Leading a team of Asia-based process engineers
  • Communicating with senior management on issues as needed

Responsibilities For Process Engineer- Camera

Requirements For Process Engineer- Camera

  • Bachelor's degree and prior relevant industry experience
  • Experience in semiconductor module packaging or relevant areas
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with diversified cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to perform DOE, data analysis, and process capability control
  • Demonstrated failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving for product yield and quality issues
