The Apple Online Store Quality Engineering team is seeking a motivated and talented engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate should be a strong programmer, proficient at thoroughly testing applications and building test automation tools, and capable of improving team velocity through automation. This role requires a creative and hard-working automation engineer with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
As part of the Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for:
- Continuous quality analysis
- Identifying automation opportunities
- Defining test approaches
- Implementing robust solutions with sound architecture
- Ensuring deliverables meet the highest standards
- Providing functional and integration quality-assurance testing for critical customer-facing applications
- Building quality test plans, cases, and automation suites
- Reducing regression test cycle time using ML and AI in automation
- Working closely with multi-functional teams to develop and execute test plans
- Advocating for quality in the software development process
- Identifying workflow inefficiencies and suggesting process improvements
- Providing timely and accurate testing status updates to Project Managers
- Creating test plans, developing manual/automated multi-functional tests, reporting bugs, and assessing overall product quality
- Working with Agile teams to ensure high-quality delivery for each sprint
- Providing leadership in testing, solving, and implementing features through automation
- Analyzing crash logs and back-traces, and assisting Engineers with debugging techniques
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to grasp issues quickly. They should have a strong technical background and proven hands-on experience in the relevant field. The ability to take ownership of outcomes and collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams is crucial for this role.
