Security Software Engineering Manager, Data Protection

Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture organization is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Manager to lead the Data Protection team. This crucial role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of technologies that protect customer data across Apple's entire product ecosystem, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro.

The position focuses on managing a talented team responsible for various security aspects, including content encryption, passcode security, software attestation, key management, and boot security. The role spans multiple technical layers, from system-on-chip hardware through Secure Enclave, kernel, and userland software.

As a leader, you'll be instrumental in pushing Data Protection technologies forward, working closely with Silicon Engineering, Software Engineering, and Product Management teams. The role requires balancing security requirements with user experience and performance considerations while maintaining Apple's high standards for customer privacy and data protection.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $190,700 to $329,600, plus additional benefits including stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and educational reimbursement.
