Senior Cloud Traffic Engineer, Apple Pay

At Apple, we're looking for a Senior Cloud Traffic Engineer to join our Apple Pay team. You'll be part of a dynamic group responsible for managing internal and external traffic in a complex, distributed environment with strict privacy and security requirements. Our team focuses on modernizing, ensuring reliability, and improving observability of Wallets, Payments, and Commerce traffic infrastructure.

As a Senior Cloud Traffic Engineer, you'll:

• Ensure the highest level of uptime and service quality for Apple's customers through operational excellence.
• Design, maintain, and enhance global production traffic infrastructure.
• Take ownership of reliability issues using various tools.
• Identify areas to improve service resiliency through techniques like chaos engineering, performance/load testing, and game days.

We're seeking someone with:

• Expertise in load balancing, service mesh, and edge deployments.
• Familiarity with Networking, Security, Logging, and Application Monitoring.
• Strong commitment to maintaining customer promises.
• Ability to navigate complex business and service reliability challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to coach and mentor other individual contributors.
