Join Apple's System Intelligence and Machine Learning (SIML) group, where you'll be at the forefront of pushing Apple Intelligence towards greater heights through generative technologies. The team is responsible for developing machine learning solutions running at the edge on all Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS), leveraging vertical integration with Apple Silicon. You'll work on exciting projects like image generation for Genmoji, Image Playground, face recognition, and scene classification in Camera and Photos.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll join a highly cross-functional team focused on product software, back-end infrastructure, and tooling that supports machine learning initiatives. You'll collaborate with various internal teams and external partners, developing innovative systems for data science and synthesis. The role involves mining large-scale datasets, evaluating generative results, and creating sophisticated data synthesis strategies.

- Developing strategies and algorithms for mining large amounts of data for targeted model training
- Addressing challenges in automatic evaluation of generative results
- Streamlining human-in-the-loop processes for dataset construction
- Synthesis of training data and augmentations to real-world data

Requirements For Senior Data Scientist - System Intelligence and Machine Learning, ISE
- Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Significant professional experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Researcher or Applied Scientist
- Up-to-date with the state of the art in machine learning and generative technologies
- Strong ability in one or more programming languages, preferably Python
- Knowledge of industry standard tools and methods for model training, statistical analysis and data science
