Senior Media Experience Software Engineer

Apple is seeking a Senior Media Experience Software Engineer to join their innovative audio team. This role is central to developing cutting-edge audio experiences across Apple's entire ecosystem, including Vision Pro, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePods, and Mac. The team has been instrumental in defining spatial audio experiences for Vision Pro and implementing features like Personalized Volume and Conversation Awareness for AirPods.

The position involves working on the audio stack across all of Apple's operating systems (iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, macOS, and visionOS). You'll be responsible for designing and building robust architectural platforms that can adapt to new features and hardware platforms. The role requires collaboration with Human Interface teams and other engineering partners to create seamless audio experiences for users.

As a senior engineer, you'll be working on complex audio routing systems, managing how users experience audio across different devices - from AirPods to HomePods. The team's work has been crucial in developing features like FaceTime on AppleTV and AirPods automatic switching on macOS. You'll also be involved in improving audio responsiveness and implementing new features to enhance the user experience.
