Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Apple's Media Platforms SRE team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic Software and Services division. This role sits at the intersection of technology and entertainment, supporting massive-scale platforms including the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work on systems that serve content in over 35 languages across more than 150 countries. You'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly available services that handle media content ingestion, transformation, and management across Apple's major products including Apple Fitness+ and Apple TV+.

As an SRE, you'll work with diverse system types, from public-facing developer services like App Store Connect & TestFlight to sophisticated pipeline-based transformation systems handling iOS binary processing and media transcoding. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, emphasizing a culture of shared ownership and innovation.

The team is currently undertaking an exciting transition from bare metal infrastructure to Kubernetes microservices, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge observability tools and monitoring platforms.
