Senior Software QA Engineer, UI Frameworks - Apple Vision Pro

Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. As a Senior Software QA Engineer for UI Frameworks, you will be responsible for shipping world-class user experiences and act as the voice of end-users. You will support testing of multiple features, drive quality via extensive hands-on functional testing, and set high standards for product quality. The role demands deep integration with development engineers, developing test plans and user studies, bug triaging, and supporting design reviews. You will also work closely with the Automation team to prioritize and expedite automation initiatives. This position requires a proactive self-starter with a keen eye for details, focusing on end-user experiences and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure high-quality releases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing detailed test plans and assessing risks
• Filing detailed defect reports and providing relevant data for test reporting
• Driving cross-functional communications and understanding dependencies
• Ensuring tight timelines are maintained
• Applying excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and strategies

The ideal candidate will have:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
• More than 6 years of experience as a quality engineer in the software industry
• Experience with testing mobile applications and AR/VR immersive experiences
• Familiarity with testing Frameworks, Public APIs, and SDKs
• Experience testing large technology stacks with many software and hardware components
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python (preferred)
• Experience with Xcode, XCTest, Swift, Obj-C (bonus)
• Familiarity with platforms like Unity and Unreal
