Senior Software Quality Engineer - Media - Apple Vision Pro

Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. The Vision Products Group is seeking a hands-on, seasoned Media QA Engineer to drive quality and help ship best-in-class applications and user experiences for visionOS. As a QA Engineer, you will work to drive software quality for customer-facing Media apps and Media Frameworks while working cross-functionally in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is a passionate QA engineer with experience in video streaming technologies and automation. This role requires developing and qualifying customer-focused flows and ensuring system-level quality for media features, both functional and automation-focused. You should be able to communicate at a high level and dive into technical details with key partners or leaders. Your leadership skills will drive communication across multiple organizations, negotiate various asks, and cultivate growth within the team.

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the development team and other cross-functional teams
• Executing tests for new Media features such as Apple Immersive videos
• Covering a broad span of test areas involving functional, performance, and reliability testing
• Manual and automated testing, writing automated test cases, triage of issues, reporting on project progress, and risk analysis
• Developing UI automation, preferably in Apple frameworks such as XCTest
• Identifying gaps in existing automation test cases and closing them with a long-term focus

Required skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Software Quality Engineer
• Experience with video streaming technology (e.g., AVC, HEVC, live streaming encoders)
• Strong objective-oriented programming skills, preferably in Python and Swift
• Excellent analytical, programming, and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

This role offers a competitive base pay range between $157,000 and $278,900, along with additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and educational reimbursement opportunities.
