Description For SerDes Circuit Design Engineer

Apple is seeking experienced Analog Mixed-Signal designers to join their high-speed SerDes team. This role focuses on building next-generation high-performance wireline transceivers delivering intellectual-property (IP) for Apple's world-leading system-on-chip (SOC). The position involves working with cross-functional Analog Mixed-Signal design teams to create state-of-the-art IPs crucial to Apple's products.

The role requires deep expertise in AMS design, particularly in high-speed serial links, with responsibilities including the development of various circuit components such as Rx, CDR, Tx, bias generators, and high-speed clock generation systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple teams including architecture, SIPI, packaging, and board design to drive specifications and implementations.

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that directly impacts Apple's product line, requiring both technical depth and breadth. The position offers significant growth potential in an exciting work environment, where innovation and quality are paramount. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical fundamentals with the ability to see both the bigger picture and detailed implementation aspects.

The role involves working with advanced CMOS technologies, handling complex IP development from definition to high-volume production, and requires expertise in various technical areas including analog mixed-signal concepts, digitally assisted analog design, and high-speed digital circuits. The position offers the chance to work on designs that push the boundaries of technology while maintaining Apple's high standards of quality and innovation.
