Description For Service Manufacturing Engineering TPM

Apple is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join their AppleCare's repair processes team. This role is crucial in supporting and improving service processes in high-volume repair sites, working directly with AppleCare and Operations engineering teams to ensure extraordinary customer experiences.

The position involves managing and optimizing repair processes, focusing on quality control, efficiency improvements, and technical problem-solving. The TPM will be responsible for monitoring performance metrics, implementing process improvements, and coordinating with various stakeholders across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in manufacturing engineering and strong project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, with a strong background in quality control and process improvement. They should be comfortable working both independently and as part of cross-functional teams, with excellent communication skills to interact with executive management and third-party representatives.

Responsibilities For Service Manufacturing Engineering TPM

  • Monitor, maintain and drive improvements in high volume screening and repair solutions
  • Be an advocate for the customer
  • Manage all site technical process performance and KPIs
  • Investigate site technical issues
  • Lead DOE cycles and development builds
  • Maintain and document globally consistent processes
  • Find opportunities for process and quality improvement
  • Support investigation and resolution of escalations

Requirements For Service Manufacturing Engineering TPM

  • BS/MS in engineering field (manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical preferred)
  • 5+ years experience of industrial, manufacturing, process, or quality engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and statistical process control
  • Experience defining IQC, OQC and field quality performance data
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action plan development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Up to 20% travel between sites required
  • Solid understanding of failure analysis processes
