Description For Silicon Validation Engineer

Apple is seeking a forward-thinking Silicon Validation Engineer to join their dynamic team working on cutting-edge mobile SoC development. In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for performing lab characterization and validation of various analog & mixed signal embedded circuits, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch world-class mobile SoCs.

The position requires deep expertise in high-speed SerDes architectures, including NRZ and PAM protocols, along with comprehensive knowledge of crucial SerDes blocks such as CTLE, DFE, FFE, CDR, and PLLs. You'll be working hands-on with sophisticated test equipment and developing robust methodologies to evaluate performance across PVT variations.

Responsibilities For Silicon Validation Engineer

  • Lead efforts to bring up, validate, and characterize high-speed SerDes blocks
  • Perform lab characterization and validation of analog & mixed signal embedded circuits
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to launch mobile SoCs
  • Develop robust test methodologies for high-speed serial interfaces
  • Support ATE and Product Engineering

Requirements For Silicon Validation Engineer

Python
  • BSEE and 7+ years related industry experience
  • Experience with high-speed SerDes architectures (NRZ and PAM)
  • Knowledge of SerDes blocks (CTLE, DFE, FFE, CDR, PLLs)
  • Proficiency with test equipment like high-speed oscilloscopes and BERTs
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with high-speed protocols (USB, PCIe, DP)
